Techniques

OIL ON PAPER
With this special („drybrush”) technique I gently apply the oil with brushes on a special watercolor paper. The pictures are painted with black or brown (raw umber, brunt umber) color.

OIL ON PAPER, COLORED
I apply the different colors in thin layers on a special water color paper with lazure technique („drybrush”). This way it is possible to create a photo-like image he adequate colors.

OIL ON CANVAS
With this special („drybrush”) technique I gently apply the oil with brushes on canvas. . The pictures are painted with black or brown (raw umber, brunt umber) color.

OIL ON CANVAS, COLORED
I apply the different colors in thin layers on a canvas with lazure technique („drybrush”). This special way gives you the same imression as a real oil painting on canvas.

CLASSICAL OIL ON CANVAS
In order to create a more picturesque impression the colors are applied on a canvas in organic, sometimes in dynamic way with lazure, or pastose technique.

ARTISTIC PORTRAIT
A more expressive way to catch the personality of the modell by using the freer, playful fantasy of the painter.

CARICATURE
Funny drawing by emphasizing the distinctive features that define the character. It can be made in black and white or color, with pencil or oil, on paper or canvas.

The prices

The price of portraits depends on the technique used, the size and the number of persons, also if it's a Bust or only the upper half of the figure
asically the cost of a picture made in one colour only, painted on Aquarel paper with oil in Bust form (upper half of the person) in the size 50x35cm is 50 Euro.
In other cases I can answer any questions you may have by E-mail, depending on your specific requirements.

How to order

Select a favourite photo of yourself making sure of the quality and sharpness of the photo. It depends on the quality of the photo as to how detailed I am able to do the painting or portrait drawing.

Please let me know which technique and size of the painting/drawing you would like to have and send me the details by email or via WhatsApp.

On the basis of the details you send me, including the quality of the photo, I will send you a tentative offer with comments and eventual  recommendation(s) to the composition of the picture as quickly as possible. Please note that the price of the picture depends on the size, the technique used and the number of people concerned.

After the picture has finally been ordered and depending on both the technical and artistic realization details, I will finish your picture within five to fifteen days and then send you a photo in order that you can decide if you would like to have small changes made, in which case you could then let me know.

As soon as the picture meets your requirements, I would ask you to transfer the cost of same. As soon as I receive the money I will then send the picture (well packed) to the required delivery address per post.

About me

My name is József Gyécsek. I graduated in 1997 with a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Painting in the Masterschool of Fine Arts, at the University of Pécs.
Alongside my experimental professional art, I also worked for over 30 years doing portrait painting and drawing caricatures.
Together with international experience I also stand at your disposal.
